What is elective surgery?Elective surgery at Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital is surgery that is not needed immediately. It is planned surgery for patients who need it the most and will benefit the most, compared to other people with similar conditions.
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Hawke's Bay provides free bus transport for all patients travelling to or from an outpatient appointment at Hawke’s Bay Hospital, Napier Health and Orthotics House at Stortford Lodge.
Hawke's Bay DHB provides a range of maternity services for women and their families across three birth centres - Waioha, Ata Rangi and Wairoa plus from our Napier located Maternity Resource Centre working in partnership with our LMC midwifery, doctors and obstetrician colleagues to provide maternity care for you.
This is a special unit for babies that are born early or are unwell at birth. The doctors and nurses will work with you to decide what is the best care for your baby and you will always be kept fully informed of your baby’s progress.
Hawke’s Bay DHB has an interpreting service which is available to hospital patients and people in the community. This service is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Hawke’s Bay District Health Board is very sad to report that a woman in her 90s, who had campylobacter infection, died yesterday evening from an unrelated medical condition. The woman who was from Havelock North was admitted to Hawke’s Bay Hospital during the campylobacter outbreak.
