Love, affection and sexual intimacy all play a role in healthy relationships and contribute to our sense of well-being. Free sexual health services are available for youth in General Practices - providing youth access to contraception and sexual health services by trained professionals.
The HBDHB sexual health service provides free sexual health services for people across the lifespan. Services are provided by specialist clinicians with advanced knowledge and education specific to sexual health.
The Community Nursing Service provides a wide range of specialist nursing care in the community working together with other health professionals to support our patients to maintain their health and wellbeing through the provision of quality evidenced base nursing care.
The health of our children is a priority for parents, the community and the Hawke’s Bay District Health Board's Child Health Team.

The bowel screening programme was rolled out in Hawke's Bay on 9 October 2018. Hawke’s Bay DHB saving lives through Bowel ScreeningHawke’s Bay DHB offers free bowel screening for men and women aged 60-74 years of age.
Continence services support people who are incontinent. The service works with people to enable them to better manage incontinence, maintain their independence and quality of life, and to reduce health complications which can arise from incontinence.
