Child Development Service
What we doWhānga Whakapakari Tamaiti provides child development services that benefit Hawke's Bay tamariki, whānau and the wider Hawke's Bay community. The 30 strong team deliver a wide range of services including:
Child disability services
Developmental Assessment Programme
Gateway Programme
Autism spectrum care coordination. -
Children's Clinics
The Hawke's Bay DHB Paediatric Service cares for babies and children up to the age of 15 years. In addition to the specialist inpatient services a range of outpatient services are also provided at Hawke's Bay Hospital.

This is a special unit for babies that are born early or are unwell at birth. The doctors and nurses will work with you to decide what is the best care for your baby and you will always be kept fully informed of your baby’s progress.
