Pool hoist reinstated at Napier Health

Napier’s disabled community got a boost last week following the reinstatement and upgrade of a pool hoist at Napier Health’s hydrotherapy pool. The hoist was decommissioned in 2012 following a Department of Labour review that determined it was not fit for purpose. -
Pandora Pond Swimming warning
People are being warned not to swim in Pandora Pond, Napier, until further notice due to contamination. Hawke’s Bay’s District Health Board Medical Officer of Health, Dr Nicholas Jones, said monitoring by Hawke’s Bay Regional Council had identified high levels of bacteria in water from samples taken this week.
