Accommodation is available on the hospital site for family/whānau and patients who live out of town, at Mihiroa Whare within our Māori Health Service. You can speak with a nurse in the ward, the duty manager, or contact the Māori Health Service to make arrangements or for further information.

The Urology service at Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital focuses on surgery required for, and some medical diseases of adult and infant, male and female, urinary tract systems. We also treat some aspects of the male reproductive organs, but do not usually perform vasectomy.
Hawke’s Bay District Health Board has received strike notice from New Zealand Nurses Organisation (NZNO), advising that nurses, midwives and healthcare assistants covered by their Multi Employment Collective Agreement (MECA) will take strike action for 24 hours from 7am Thursday 5 July until 7am Friday 6 July.
