Due to radiology workforce shortages within Hawke’s Bay, which has affected both public and private radiology providers, Te Whatu Ora Hawke’s Bay has been trying to balance community needs with workforce capacity.
As part of a plan to address the situation there will be some temporary reductions to some services across the rohe.
From 09 May 2023 the outpatient service delivered from Cook Street Medical Centre, Waipukurau will be on Monday, Wednesday and Friday only. This reduced service is for a temporary period only and will be reviewed regularly.
Acute services will continue to be provided within Hastings 24/7 and work continues to alleviate the challenges and enable full services to be reinstated as soon as possible.
