Anaesthetic Technicians at Hawke’s Bay Hospital are planning a complete withdrawal of labour from 7.00am Thursday 28 July to 7.00am Friday 29 July
On behalf of Te Whatu Ora – Te Mata a Maui, Hawke’s Bay we would like to apologise to patients who have been waiting a long time for their planned care operations that there will be a disruption to elective operations planned for Thursday 28 July.
We can reassure our community that we will continue to deliver acute surgery required to maintain life and limb.
Detailed contingency planning is in place across the services delivered by Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand.
Patients who are affected by the strike are being contacted accordingly – if you are unsure whether your appointment or procedure is affected, please call your clinical care team.
The region’s emergency departments will remain open throughout the strike.
For non-urgent help, please contact your GP. In an emergency, always call 111.
