Getting here by car
Here are some things to know if you plan to visit Hawke’s Bay Hospital by car.

Paid Parking
There is a small fee for parking at the hospital between 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.
After 4pm, weekends, and public holidays are free.
Parking for patients and visitors costs $1 for 3.5 hours.
Parking for staff costs $1 per day.
Payment options for patients and visitors:
- Pay and Display machine. Pay at the machine and put the parking slip on your dashboard. Note: the machine will accept coins (no change provided), or debit/credit chipped cards.
- ParkMate App. Download the universal app, register your vehicle, and pay as you go. Check out the ParkMate 'How to' Guide here.
- Free drop-off zones outside the Emergency Department and for labouring women are provided.
