Yesterday, (19 December) Hawke’s Bay District Health Board Chair Kevin Atkinson and Chair of Health Hawke’s Bay (PHO) Bayden Barber signed a new agreement Te Pītau Health Alliance which signals a more holistic and integrated approach to health care in Hawke’s Bay.
Te Whatu Ora funds a number of free and easily accessible wellbeing supports. These include face-to-face primary mental health and addiction support via participating GP clinics, Kaupapa Māori, Pacific and youth specific services. These services are free and available without a referral.

The latest figures from public health officials on gastro -related issues are as follows:13 patients remained on hospital wards as at 4pm this afternoon. That’s down from 17 this morning, with one patient remaining in ICU.
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Hawke's Bay provides free bus transport for all patients travelling to or from an outpatient appointment at Hawke’s Bay Hospital, Napier Health and Orthotics House at Stortford Lodge.
