Hawke’s Bay people and visitors are encouraged to Choose Well for health care this Easter holiday weekend.
Hawke’s Bay District Health Board Chief Medical and Dental Officer – Hospital, Dr John Gommans, asked that people choose the right care from the right place for health care over the long weekend.
Dr Gommans stressed that the hospital’s emergency department was for emergencies and life threatening conditions only.
“There’s lots of options for non-urgent care over the long weekend from various health centres and clinics and pharmacies that will be open, as well as Healthline for free advice from a registered nurse 24/7 on 0800 611 116.”
A list of pharmacies and clinics that will be open this Easter can be found on the Our Health website at www.ourhealth.co.nz.
