Health Promoting Schools
Being healthy and being able to learn are closely linked.

If your school is not getting the achievement you are looking for as a result of issues with student attendance, retention or engagement, health and wellbeing issues may be an underlying cause.
The Health Promoting Schools service works with school leaders (for example: principals, management, boards of trustees) to identify health and wellbeing issues and create and implement an action plan to address these priorities.
What can Health Promoting Schools do for my school?
- Support you to unlock student and whānau voice as partners in learning
- Help you to identify issues and act as a ‘critical friend’ in decision making
- Provide access and links to free support, tools and health and wellbeing agencies.
